Pack your bags, and load your hogs… its time for a road trip. Chance are if you are going to Daytona or Sturgis you will be in good company with your ATC or Motiv motorcycle trailer. I’m always pleasantly surprised at how many ATC and Motiv motorcycle trailers I see at the national rallies. I guess what they say is true, motorcycle guys and gals really do appreciate and recognize precision craftsmanship.
Yeah, there certainly are manufactures out there that sell motorcycle trailers for less, but many of them dip well below the acceptable threshold of quality. It seems that most people are familiar with ATC and Motiv’s outstanding custom trailer capacities, and of course our ability to build a knock-out race car trailer is common knowledge in the industry. ATC and Motiv Trailers have been much more successful penetrating the motorcycle trailer market than the utility trailer market. Many times we have asked ourselves why this is, because we build a really great line of cargo/utility trailers. We realized it all comes down to one word “passion”. Motorcycling is more than a hobby or an extra curricular activity; it is a lifestyle that people are passionate about. When people are passionate about things, they are willing to spend a little more to get a product that has more flash and will outperform another product.
I’m not saying that landscapers and contractors are not passionate about their business, but when is the last time you heard a landscaper or contractor talk about the really cool utility trailer they were getting ready to buy to carry their tools around in? I’ve heard it time and time again, “I’ve got a nice truck and a great bike…what I need now is a trailer that compliments them.” Well, there’s little doubt from anyone that the GTS is THE premier motorcycle trailer in the industry. Time and time again cyclists are “completing their package” and investing in a GTS.
During the 2006 Daytona Bike Week rally I was fortunate enough to help one of our customers “complete the package.” He had a Boss Hoss with a beautiful custom paint job and the big V-8 motor! His tow vehicle, none other than a Porsche Cayenne…so you want to talk about someone eager to complete the package, this was it! When you have these kind of “toys” you’re not interested in a run of the mill trailer, you’re looking for something that sets you apart from the crowd…you just won’t settle for the ordinary!
Well, enter the GTS; and our customer couldn’t have been more excited about his new trailer. A black Porsche Cayenne pulling a black GTS, it really just doesn’t get much better than that…that is until he unloads his Boss Hoss. It’s not hard to imagine what a spectacle it is when he drops the rear ramp door and fires up his Boss Hoss V-8 engine…backing this machine out of the GTS is quite a site.
You don’t have to own a Boss Hoss or a Porsche Cayenne to appreciate the superior quality, fit and finish of a GTS (but it doesn’t hurt)!
