Slide Out Trailers

Tuesday, November 23rd, 2010

We have much experience building slide out trailers.  Slide outs trailers can greatly expand the space that is required for some of the mobile needs of businesses.  Slide out trailers have been built for a broad range of uses and needs from mobile class rooms to hospital operating rooms.  Slide out trailers from ATC can be made in a variety of sizes and shapes.  When slide out trailers have slide outs on each side of the trailer that expand across from each other, there can be a very wide unblocked space.  Slide outs at ATC can expand out up to 48 inches in our slide out trailers and be as long as 16’ each.  Our slide out trailers can be done in a flush floor application as well where there is no step up into the floor of the slide out.  Slide out trailers can greatly expand the use of mobile applications because of the space that they afford customers.  Whether its broadcasting, healthcare, mobile marketing or education, slide out trailers from ATC can solve many problems for unique customers.

Race Car Trailers

Wednesday, November 17th, 2010

In the racing industry there are many different kinds of race car trailers.  The weekend racers have their own style of race car trailer.  The hobbyists have their own version of race car trailers as well.  As you go up the scale into bigger time racing there is a whole different market of race car trailers.  Very large racers such as bush series or Nascar use semi trailers for their race car trailers.  They pull their race car trailers with a large tractor.  At ATC we build race car trailers in each category.  From the very smallest go-cart trailers to the largest semi type race car trailers.  Each market has different needs inside of their race car haulers but they all accomplish the same things.  We have the unique ability to supply both aluminum race car trailers and steel race car trailers.  Each time someone approaches us with a specific request for a race car hauler we are able to deliver to them the exact product that they are looking for.

2010 NATDA Trailer Show

Thursday, November 11th, 2010

This year the NATDA (North American Trailer Dealer Association) show was again held in Louisville, Kentucky.  Although the dealer count was down, ATC and Motiv still had a bang up show.  We kicked off the show with a bang as we unveiled our new product changes.  We brought a new motorcycle GTS trailer that highlighted all of our new features and a much lower price.  This was an obvious hit with our dealer body.

We also brought a 24’ ATC Fastlane race trailer complete with our new proprietary lower rail design, concept exterior fender skirting and our new cast corners.  This trailer was received well from all in attendance.  I would like to say that this trailer stole the show, but the ATC was upstaged by its younger brother the 28’ Motiv RedLine race trailer.

The 28’ Motiv Race trailer showcased all the new features of the aforementioned ATC Fastlane, but this black beauty also highlighted our 10” spread axle design.  To protect the innocent, I won’t mention any names, but numerous other manufactures came to our booth and commented this trailer was “the” trailer of the show.  One manufacturer even said that of all the trailers in the show, this Motiv spread axle trailer will be the only trailer dealers remember after the show.  We really didn’t come to the show expecting to write orders, but after dealers saw this trailer; we ended up writing quite a few orders for this exact unit.

Thanks to all the dealers who continue to support us and promote our products.  We promise… this is only the beginning of our innovation!

Open Car Haulers

Wednesday, November 3rd, 2010

Some of our most popular models at ATC are our Concours Series open car haulers.  These lightweight yet extremely tough all-aluminum trailers are the simplest choice to transport your car wherever you need to go.  The open deck provides a platform to beautifully display your vehicle, while the standard safety features give you peace of mind for even the longest of trips.  ATC’s open car haulers come standard with non-skid extruded aluminum flooring, which will hold up beautifully under the elements.  The deck comes with four 5000# D-rings to secure your cargo, and the full-perimeter aluminum tube frame offers tremendous strength without the weight of steel framing and wood decking.  Best of all, the 72” ramps have in-frame locking storage!  Rear stabilizer jacks are also standard to provide stability and ease during loading.  And as always, ATC offers a variety of options to help your trailer fit your needs.  Want longer ramps or a rock shield…perhaps a welded-on tire rack?  No problem!  And the very best part of the Concours series open car haulers…our everyday low price will leave plenty of cash in your pocket to spend on your vehicle!  Check out our photo galleries on www.aluminumtrailer.com, or give one of our professional dealers a call today!

Open Car Hauler Trailers

Wednesday, November 3rd, 2010

About a year and a half ago we completely redesigned the fit, finish and function of our open car hauler trailers.  We were able to lower the deck height approximately 3”, get rid of an awkward beavertail design, strengthen our frame structure, move to a more convenient rear ramp storage system… and oh yeah, drop about $500 of cost out of our open car hauler trailers.

To say we designed in some monumental changes might be a bit of an understatement.  Our open car hauler trailers continue to offer a full aluminum extruded plank floor and a full aluminum tube designed frame.  We also redesigned our removable fender systems to strengthen our fastening procedure.

ATC open car hauler trailers continue to set the bar for quality and value.  Please visit your local ATC dealer or click on our website to learn more about this great product offering from ATC.

Motorcycle Trailers

Tuesday, October 19th, 2010

I’m pretty sure every trailer manufacturer out there offers a basic motorcycle trailer.  Most of these trailers are exactly the same – steel frame, plywood floor and walls, and rear ramp door.  Of course, if you want something basic to haul your bikes from place to place, these standard motorcycle trailers will get the job done.  However, if you’re in the market for something that’s a little more distinctive, you should check out ATC and Motiv’s motorcycle trailers.  We build a trailer that will get just as much attention as your bikes – and will let you travel in style and luxury.

ATC and Motiv’s number one selling motorcycle trailer is our GTS and GTX.  The GTS (Gran Tour Series) is our premiere all-aluminum motorcycle trailer, while the GTX package is our highest quality steel.  Both are guaranteed to turn heads.  Features on the outside: polished cast aluminum corners, stainless steel verticals, front radius and side trim, aluminum wheels, mercury flame graphics, and new for 2011 – 7” lower rub rail trim!  The inside is finished beautifully with black coin rubber floor, screwless aluminum walls and ceiling, and recessed airline track to hold your bikes secure.  Believe me, you won’t go unnoticed with this trailer – no matter where you travel!

If you’re interested in even more luxury for your motorcycle trailer, check out our GTS/GTX Premiere Interior Package.  This package takes things up a notch with a full electrical package, AM/FM/CD Stereo with 4 cube speakers, and best of all, ATC’s custom-built aluminum overhead cabinet and center wardrobe closet!  You’ll have plenty of room for helmets, tools, and any extra cargo you want to travel with.  Bottom line: if you’re a die-hard biker who loves to travel in style, there’s really only one motorcycle trailer for you – ATC and Motiv!

Toy Hauler Trailers

Friday, October 15th, 2010

There is no better way to escape the stress of everyday life than to load up your toys and head for the great outdoors!  And what better way to do that than in an ATC and Motiv toy hauler trailer?  Our premium quality toy haulers will maximize your adventure, no matter what type of toy you choose to haul.  ATV’s, jeeps, dune buggies, motorcycles, dirt bikes, and more – bring it on!  We promise we’ll step up to the plate, no matter how heavy the cargo or rugged the terrain.

We offer a t1 and t2 toy hauler package on both our ATC all-aluminum frame and our Motiv steel platform.  Plus, you can put the package on our motorcycle model for a smaller toy hauler, or our car hauler models for a bigger cargo area.  And best of all, if you want to add some extras, or tweak the floorplan to meet your specific needs – it’s no problem!  We at ATC and Motiv pride ourselves on the fact that we rarely build the same trailer twice.  Our top priority is to design your trailer EXACTLY how you want it, with the high quality you demand.

Our t1 toy hauler trailers offer a flat-front design, with toilet, shower, and kitchenette complete with refrigerator, cooktop, and microwate.  The compact design keeps your trailer easy to handle while maximizing your cargo space.  If you want to enlarge the living quarter area, the t2 toy hauler is the perfect choice.  This floorplan is based on a 4’ wedge nose design, with the bathroom up front for a bit more space.  The t2 package also adds a wardrobe and linen closet, optional TV package, and more counter space in the kitchenette.  Of course, with both toy hauler packages we offer unlimited options in both your living area and your garage.  So let ATC and Motiv toy hauler trailers help you escape and extend your adventure in the great outdoors…you owe it to yourself!

Stage Trailers

Friday, September 24th, 2010

Do you have a car worthy of being shown off at all times?  ATC and Motiv have designed two different types of trailers that are perfect for you!  Through the hard work of our engineering staff we have designed the perfect show trailer.  Our design allows you to use your trailer not only to haul your car but show it off and provide protection from the public.  Our first trailer option is a stage trailer which allows a portion of the side wall to flip down creating the perfect stage/display for your car once parked.  The second trailer option is lexan side walls and in the case below a laxan roof!  This design has achieved multiple goals, not only is it the perfect/constant marketing trailer, it also works to charge solar powered products while in transport.  Check out the pictures below for examples of customer’s goals and dreams being turned into reality.

Snowmobile Trailers

Thursday, September 23rd, 2010

Today is the first day of autumn (9/23). That’s according to the weathermen, but I still believe that autumn is really September, October, and November. Regardless of which side of the debate you are on the fact is that summer is over and without a doubt it will eventually get colder. The cold means indoors with the fireplace going reading a good book and sipping some hot chocolate. Well that’s what the cold weather means for me anyway. That could be the end of it but apparently there are a group of people that actually likes being outside in the cold and snow. I call them nuts, but they call themselves snowmobile riders.

Yes those hardy souls they go out when most people stay in. There is one thing however that I really like about snowmobile people, they need snowmobile trailers. The reason for that is that I work building trailers and that includes snowmobile trailers. Check us out at www.aluminumtrailer.com.

We build some very nice snowmobile trailers and now is the time to get one (what did you think I was talking about autumn for?). It is too late to get a trailer when it is already snowing. You need to be getting one right now. A snowmobile trailer will get you to the best snow and the best trails. You will be out there just kicking it and having a blast. Me? I’ll be reading my book with my hot chocolate.

Happy Trailering!

Open Trailers

Tuesday, September 21st, 2010

For ATC, open trailers are a product that we have limited numbers of.  We have a 16’ open trailer only in aluminum.  We have an 18’ open trailer only in aluminum.  We have a 20’ open trailer only in aluminum.  These open trailers are designed to haul cars.  Our open trailers can be used for other things as well.  The fenders are removable on our open trailer so that a car can be parked and the doors open.   Open trailers in all shapes and sizes are pretty common and it seems as though everyone is building them.  Because we are good at working with aluminum, we have decided that open trailers are something that we can build and do a good job with in a narrow way.  Open trailers for cars are on the high end of the open trailer market but it doesn’t feel as though the rest of the market is a place for us.  Open trailers continue to be a niche for us.

Living Quarters Trailers

Monday, September 20th, 2010

When you are out at your event and you are either having fun or working, have you ever wished that you could have a place to relax to unwind to take a break?  You are probably thinking first what the heck am I talking about and second even if you don’t know  what I am talking about yes of course.

First things first! Let’s say you are a racer and you are at a weekend race. You are going to be there with your family a couple of days. You only actually race a couple of heats and the rest of the time you are working on your car. What does your family do? Also what do you do when the day is over? Do you have to leave and go to a hotel? Well the answer to all these questions is to have a car hauler trailer with a living quarters in the front. Then your family can relax, watch TV, play games, or even nap. You can also take a break when you need to and then there will no trip to the hotel at the end of the day. Look at it from a financial prospective you will eventually save enough money to pay for the trailer. Why do I care? Because we build Living Quarters Trailers at ATC (www.aluminumtrailer.com) and we want to build you a trailer.

Well what if you don’t race but really need a trailer for your mobile business. Again we have you covered. We can build the working portion of your trailer to your exact business needs, and then the living quarters for your on the road home. There really isn’t too much that we can’t build. Why don’t you try us? Until later. Happy Trailering!!

Car Trailers

Thursday, September 16th, 2010

ATC builds the only all aluminum frame car trailer in the country.  Other manufactures add steel reinforcements on their race trailers.  Not ATC.  We build our car trailer with a perimeter tube frame, tube side walls on 16” centers, and a sturdy 1”x 3” tube roof structure also on 16” centers.  This type of construction is what allows ATC to build one of the strongest and lightest car trailers in the industry.

The options available on an ATC car trailer are almost endless.  You can purchase a trailer without any options.  Standard features include a spring assisted rear ramp door, 36” side door, and 4 d rings.  Drive in, strap your car down and you are ready to go.

The list of car trailer options is nearly endless.  Many ATC car trailers are built with a list options that totally deck out the trailer.  Finished aluminum walls, floor coverings, 12 volt and 110 volt electrical packages,  cabinets, and air conditioning and heat.  Cool looking and comfortable, car trailers are now design to deliver you and your car in style.

The next time you are at the track take a look in the pit.  You will be amazed at the variations in the car trailers.  From the most basic open car trailer that just gets the car from home to the track to the most elaborate trailer that includes a full blown living quarters.  Car trailers and options vary.  One thing that stays constant is ATC industry leading quality.

Check out an ATC car trailer today.  You will be glad you did!

The Trailer Industry

Thursday, September 16th, 2010

We are the new kids on the block. The Aluminum Trailer Company has been around for 10 years. Motiv Trailers has been around for 6 years. We are young compared to some of our competitors and especially some of the big boys. Of course everyone knows that 2009 was a rough year for not just our industry, but for the entire world economy. What is exciting for me when I look at our company is that we survived 2009! Many of our fellow trailer manufacturers did not make it all or had to merge with another company (either trailer industry or in an industry completely separate) in order to survive.

We did not need to merge and we were able to keep our ownership structure intact throughout this very rough period. This has allowed us to be in a very good position to serve your needs not only for the immediate year of 2010 for also for many years to come. When you deal with Aluminum Trailer Company, you know you are dealing with a company who has survived the worst that the economy could throw at us and are standing on the other side ready to take a big role in bringing our industry back. You are also dealing with a company in which all the major shareholders are also employees. This gives you an unbelievable amount of commitment to make sure that ATC gives you exactly what you are looking for, in exactly the format and up to the exact quality standards that you demand. Please visit us at www.aluminumtrailer.com to see what we have to offer. We promise that you will not be disappointed if you pick us to take care of your next project.

Living Quarter Trailers

Wednesday, September 15th, 2010

Some people may not think about Aluminum Trailer Company or Motiv Trailers when it comes to their Living Quarter trailer needs. The Aluminum Trailer Company has established a name for itself in terms of quality car haulers, motorcycle trailers, stackers, etc. Another trailer type that we are very good at is the living quarter trailers. We are fully accredited by the RVIA (Recreational Vehicle Industry Association) which is the governing body of the RV industry. Our living quarter trailers have to adhere to strict safety standards. All of our LQ trailers have to pass a series of rigorous testing and quality control standards. And of course they all come with our renowned commitment to quality and value. These are truly beautiful trailers.

We offer several living quarter packages which are already designed, priced and ready to go. These packages can be viewed at our website, www.aluminumtrailer.com. Of course you should not be confined to what packages we have already done. ATC is known to be the leader in engineered to order trailers. Our sales and design team can take your concept, your ideas, your dreams and convert them to a trailer you will be proud to own and we will be proud to build. People who have gone through trailers which have been finished out with a living space are blown away not only by our capabilities, but also the sheer luxury and quality of cabinets, living space, etc. Please give us a chance to build your next custom trailer.

Open Car Haulers

Tuesday, September 14th, 2010

What do we usually mean when we say something is open?  You know instead of closed, locked, not available just to name a few things that open is not. The reason I ask is that I work in an industry that like many other niche industries has many esoteric terms and descriptions for the things we make. If I say to you that ATC (www.aluminumtrailer.com) makes Open Car Haulers would that mean anything to you? You might think I was talking about availability meaning it’s available, it’s not yet sold, it’s open!

Well that’s all correct, but misses the main idea. In this case open means not covered. You know open to the weather. Not enclosed. Open for all the world to see. This then gets to our next point which is the car hauler part of open. We now know what open means and car hauler is a little easier to grasp. Therefore class an Open Car Hauler is a trailer that is built to haul or transport a car and the car is exposed or open.

Your next question has to be, why in the heck would I want to do that? First it is the most affordable  way to buy and own a car hauler trailer. It is basic transportation. Second it’s cool everyone gets to see your great car. As you are passing them on the highway they are looking and saying to themselves …. Wow I wish I had a cool car like that.

If you’d like to make that happen, give us a call and we’ll build one for you. Happy Trailering!

Standard or Custom Trailers?

Monday, September 13th, 2010

So this is the question of the year. Is The Aluminum Trailer Company (ATC) and Motiv trailers a standard trailer manufacturer or are we a custom trailer manufacturer? Internally it depends on which sales person you ask. I’m not really sure it matters that much. I want to be a company which sells a car hauler, motorcycle trailer, stacker, cargo trailer, specialty trailer, open trailer, etc that people want to buy! Of course its not as simple as that statement. If we are a custom shop that means we have longer lead times, we have a robust engineering staff, we dedicate a lot of resources to build engineered to order trailers. If we are a standard trailer shop, then we don’t need the heavy overhead structure, our production employees see a limited amount of different types trailers, which means they can get built faster at a more competitive price.

I don’t think we need to choose. We have decided as a company that are going to do both of these well. That is a huge commitment since there is so much difference in how these trailers are built. The journey will not be easy, but in the end it will be worth it. I say that because we will be able to provide you, the customer exactly what you need at exactly the price you think you should pay. We have structured our entire organization, from our sales force, to our production lines, to our back office support in order to solidify a foundation that allows us to be the kind of company that can accomplish this. There will no doubt be bumps in the road, but we think we can do it. Check out our product offerings at www.aluminumtrailer.com to see our vast array of products. Also feel free to contact a sales rep to ask more about our capabilities to build exactly the trailer that you are looking for.

Race Car Haulers

Friday, September 10th, 2010

Before I started working at The Aluminum Trailer Company six years ago, I couldn’t tell you the difference between one car hauler and another. I’m not even sure I could tell you what a car hauler was! What a difference six years makes. Not only have I gained an appreciation for the car hauler, I am convinced that ATC and Motiv trailers builds the best car haulers in the market today. This is especially true for the racing circuit. Our company has been around for a little over 10 years now. We have spent that time not only perfecting our aluminum framed trailers, but also listening to what our customers were asking of us. The result of this pursuit of the ultimate race car hauler is our Quest series (both gooseneck and tag) in ATC, our RSX series (both gooseneck and tag) in Motiv and our signature stacker series in both companies.

We feel that in terms of quality, fit and finish and value, our car haulers are the industry leaders. The great thing about ATC and Motiv trailers is no matter if you are looking for a unit you can pick up right off a dealers lot of you have exact specifications you need to meet, we can build your trailer. Our design, sales process is second to none. This allows us work with you to design exactly what you need. If you do not need a custom trailer and price is your biggest consideration, we have some options for you there as well in our standard product line. Visit us at www.aluminumtrailer.com to see what we have to offer. We know that you will be pleased if you chose to go with an ATC or Motiv car hauler.

Motorcycle Trailers

Thursday, September 9th, 2010

Motorcycles are an important hobby for many folks.  Motorcycle trailers need to be done and done well.  We build motorcycle trailers in both steel and aluminum to meet the needs of all types of motorcycles.  We believe that our motorcycle trailers are unmatched when it comes to fit and finish.  When owners go to shows and other places they want to make sure that their motorcycle trailers work both in form and function.  Fit and finish is one of the things that we pride ourselves in for our of our trailers.  Motorcycle trailers are no different.  Motorcycle trailers need to have trim that fits and sealant that is put on in a way that looks like it’s a part of the trailer and not an after thought.  We build the ultimate motorcycle trailer in our Silver trek line.  It is a very expensive motorcycle trailer but looks beautiful.  We also build motorcycle trailers with living quarters as well.  With the number of people that like to go to shows and stay, motorcycle trailer manufacturers are producing more trailers like this.  We build approximately 100 motorcycle trailers per year if you add all of the units that are built with a motorcycle in mind.  Most of our trailers are used for multiple numbers of things.  Motorcycle trailers can be used for many items as well.

Motorcycle Trailers

Thursday, September 9th, 2010

I know we’ve talked about this before but it just seems to me that if you own a motorcycle that you obviously drive than why would you need a trailer to haul it from place to place? Well it occurred to me that maybe I was being just a little harsh to the motorcycle riding community. I was also being a little short sighted regarding my own livelihood because I work at a company that makes motorcycle trailers. So let me just say I’m sorry to every bike addict out there that occasionally likes to haul their bike before they ride it.

Let’s also look at the very good reasons for why you would use a motorcycle trailer. Safety of course comes to mind, since you’ll be in your truck and not on your bike for many miles. Security as well, since your bike will be locked away in your trailer both on the road and after you ride your bike. But perhaps the biggest reason of all is to protect your investment, and the less really hard miles, the protection from the weather, and the piece of mind that your pride and joy is safe.

If you think this sounds good to you contact us at www.aluminumtrailer.com and we would be happy to build your motorcycle trailer for you. Happy Trailering !!

When is a trailer not a trailer?

Tuesday, September 7th, 2010

When is trailer not a trailer? The reason I’ve asked the question is that we are sometimes asked to make a trailer that can be moved easily from place to place, but once it arrives at its destination it’s not supposed to look like a trailer. We in this case is the Aluminum Trailer Company (www.aluminumtrailer.com). That’s where we build all kinds of trailers, including the aforementioned trailer that is not supposed to look like a trailer. As a matter of fact it is supposed to look like your den or family room.

The trailer we made is used as a display for game system demonstrations. When it is in transit it is closed with walls that are hinged and fold into the body of the trailer. Once it arrives it is opened to reveal well …. Your den or family room. We do some pretty amazing specialty trailers at the Aluminum Trailer Company, but this one is probably the top of the list. Besides all that it is not just one trailer but seven of the same type. When you see them set up and operating you definitely would not think that they are anything other than a stationary room built exactly at the place it sitting.

Why would you care about this? Well you just might need trailer, or why else would you be reading this. My point is that we would like to build you a trailer and the more complex or special the better for us, because we can do specialty trailers that other companies only dream of. Good Luck and Happy Trailering!!!!

Mobile Labs

Friday, September 3rd, 2010

ATC is continually building and designing custom mobile labs to meet the demands of onsite service in all kinds of industries.  Recently we have building mobile labs for the oil industry.  The geologist that work at the well site need a mobile lab to test research samples in comfortable environment.  Take a look at the mobile lab pictures.  You will see that the basics are there but also built tough to last a long time.  With building these mobile labs with an all aluminum frame the maintenance will be low, the reduced weight make them simpler to tow and opens up the possibility of using small trucks that most people can drive without needing the CDL license.

ATC is more then capable of helping you design your own mobile lab or office.  Feel free to give us a call.  We look forward to working with you.

Commercial Trailers-Breathing Air and Rehab Trailer

Wednesday, September 1st, 2010

ATC just completed another spectacular Fire trailer.  This air trailer included everything you need for refilling your breathing air tanks in a remote scenario.  The back half of the trailer was fitted with filling station and containment unit, DOT bottles and storage for the scba bottles.  In the front of the breathing air and rehab trailer was everything the firemen will need to rest and be revitalized.  It also works as a mini’ command center.  The rehab area has plenty of seating, bathroom, heat and air conditioning to recharge the crew during the long mission.  Please take a look at the pictures on our website.  http://www.aluminumtrailer.com/custom%20trailers/emergency%20response

As you will see almost every inch of this trailer served a purpose.

Living Quarter Trailers

Tuesday, August 31st, 2010

Over the years ATC has developed several Living quarters trailer packages.  We now offer a 12’ and 14’ (with slide out) living quarter package for gooseneck and fifth wheel trailers and various bathroom packages for the bumper pull trailers. The Living quarter trailer package is shown on our website at http://www.aluminumtrailer.com/living%20quarters   For example lets look at the 12’ Living quarter package.  It is a spacious set up that sleeps four.  Full amenities are included.

ATC living quarter trailers are not the typical RV toy hauler you are probably used to seeing.  We start with a custom car hauler frame then add your living quarter.  Our wood cabinets are real oak or maple or cherry, built in our own cabinet shop.  If you want actual corian countertops in your living quarters we can do that as well.  This is just the beginning. If you need a garage to meet your custom specs or needs we will help you get what you want as well. Please give us a call to discuss your next or first living quarter trailer.

Advantech Floor in ATC and Motiv Trailers

Monday, August 30th, 2010

Every once in a while we get customers asking us why we use Advantech floors in our trailers… Here’s the scoop.

There really is only one downside to Advantech and that is that customers sometimes initially think it is just cheap chipboard and we are cutting corners to save cost.  A simple look into Advantech proves otherwise.

The true facts are that Advantech was created by Huber Woods out Charlotte, North Carolina for the housing industry.  They created this board because housing contractors were complaining that the standard plywood sub floors on their houses were delaminating when it sat unprotected in the snow, sleet and rain.  Huber woods created Advantech to withstand the moisture that was destroying the plywood subfloors.  Advantech is a manufactured wood board but it is different than any other OSB on the market.  It is made with non-water soluble glue and it is compressed with 4 times the pressure than that of a normal OSB.  If you look at the board close up you will clearly see the difference between this board and any other OSB.

Advantech is used exclusively in our snowmobile trailers and it works better than any other product.  The snow comes and melts but it does not penetrate the board.  All you have to do is simply sweep the water out of the trailer.  Due to the density of the board it also does well holding up against the sharp snowmobile carbides.  With a plywood floor, you need to change the plywood every few years because the carbides tear the plywood to sheds.  With Advantech the carbides will scratch and mar the surface, but it will not penetrate the board.  We’ve seen many “well seasoned” snowmobile trailers come in with noting more than scratches on the floor… nothing like a plywood floor.

Another huge benefit Advantech provides is in on our wide body car haulers.  Advantech can be ordered in any width we want, whereas plywood can only be ordered in at 96″ wide.  On a 102″ wide body trailer that means that there has to be a silly 3” plywood seam the entire length of there trailer.  With Advantech we order our boards in at 99″ wide so it PERFECTLY fits into a wide body frame design.

Race Car Haulers

Friday, August 27th, 2010

We sure have grown up a fair bit since the first race car hauler we built and showed down in Daytona back in February of 2000.  I’ll be honest, that first ATC race car hauler trip to Daytona was a struggle.  Some of the top trim came off on my way down to Florida and my dad and I spent the better part of a day looking for it along the highway.  Somehow, by the grace of God, we found it!  We popped it back on and continued on the show.  To say we were a bit “green” in the race car hauler business would be quite an understatement.

I’m happy to say over the past 11 years we have done a lot of growing up and we have learned a tremendous amount from our customers and dealers.  We now find ourselves deep into the race car hauler business with an overflowing list of satisfied customers.  We thank all of you who helped us get here and have had a part in our success.

While we have learned a lot and enjoyed some success over the years, part of being a great company is never getting complacent.  I’m happy to say that we are continuing to grow and improve our race car haulers.  We invite you to see the new product launch at this years PRI (Performance Racing Industry) show in Orlando Florida.  We promise you will not be disappointed with the new look and features in our ATC and Motiv race car haulers.
