Race Car Trailers

Wednesday, November 17th, 2010

In the racing industry there are many different kinds of race car trailers.  The weekend racers have their own style of race car trailer.  The hobbyists have their own version of race car trailers as well.  As you go up the scale into bigger time racing there is a whole different market of race car trailers.  Very large racers such as bush series or Nascar use semi trailers for their race car trailers.  They pull their race car trailers with a large tractor.  At ATC we build race car trailers in each category.  From the very smallest go-cart trailers to the largest semi type race car trailers.  Each market has different needs inside of their race car haulers but they all accomplish the same things.  We have the unique ability to supply both aluminum race car trailers and steel race car trailers.  Each time someone approaches us with a specific request for a race car hauler we are able to deliver to them the exact product that they are looking for.

2010 NATDA Trailer Show

Thursday, November 11th, 2010

This year the NATDA (North American Trailer Dealer Association) show was again held in Louisville, Kentucky.  Although the dealer count was down, ATC and Motiv still had a bang up show.  We kicked off the show with a bang as we unveiled our new product changes.  We brought a new motorcycle GTS trailer that highlighted all of our new features and a much lower price.  This was an obvious hit with our dealer body.

We also brought a 24’ ATC Fastlane race trailer complete with our new proprietary lower rail design, concept exterior fender skirting and our new cast corners.  This trailer was received well from all in attendance.  I would like to say that this trailer stole the show, but the ATC was upstaged by its younger brother the 28’ Motiv RedLine race trailer.

The 28’ Motiv Race trailer showcased all the new features of the aforementioned ATC Fastlane, but this black beauty also highlighted our 10” spread axle design.  To protect the innocent, I won’t mention any names, but numerous other manufactures came to our booth and commented this trailer was “the” trailer of the show.  One manufacturer even said that of all the trailers in the show, this Motiv spread axle trailer will be the only trailer dealers remember after the show.  We really didn’t come to the show expecting to write orders, but after dealers saw this trailer; we ended up writing quite a few orders for this exact unit.

Thanks to all the dealers who continue to support us and promote our products.  We promise… this is only the beginning of our innovation!

Open Car Haulers

Wednesday, November 3rd, 2010

Some of our most popular models at ATC are our Concours Series open car haulers.  These lightweight yet extremely tough all-aluminum trailers are the simplest choice to transport your car wherever you need to go.  The open deck provides a platform to beautifully display your vehicle, while the standard safety features give you peace of mind for even the longest of trips.  ATC’s open car haulers come standard with non-skid extruded aluminum flooring, which will hold up beautifully under the elements.  The deck comes with four 5000# D-rings to secure your cargo, and the full-perimeter aluminum tube frame offers tremendous strength without the weight of steel framing and wood decking.  Best of all, the 72” ramps have in-frame locking storage!  Rear stabilizer jacks are also standard to provide stability and ease during loading.  And as always, ATC offers a variety of options to help your trailer fit your needs.  Want longer ramps or a rock shield…perhaps a welded-on tire rack?  No problem!  And the very best part of the Concours series open car haulers…our everyday low price will leave plenty of cash in your pocket to spend on your vehicle!  Check out our photo galleries on www.aluminumtrailer.com, or give one of our professional dealers a call today!

Open Car Hauler Trailers

Wednesday, November 3rd, 2010

About a year and a half ago we completely redesigned the fit, finish and function of our open car hauler trailers.  We were able to lower the deck height approximately 3”, get rid of an awkward beavertail design, strengthen our frame structure, move to a more convenient rear ramp storage system… and oh yeah, drop about $500 of cost out of our open car hauler trailers.

To say we designed in some monumental changes might be a bit of an understatement.  Our open car hauler trailers continue to offer a full aluminum extruded plank floor and a full aluminum tube designed frame.  We also redesigned our removable fender systems to strengthen our fastening procedure.

ATC open car hauler trailers continue to set the bar for quality and value.  Please visit your local ATC dealer or click on our website to learn more about this great product offering from ATC.

Toy Hauler Trailers

Friday, October 15th, 2010

There is no better way to escape the stress of everyday life than to load up your toys and head for the great outdoors!  And what better way to do that than in an ATC and Motiv toy hauler trailer?  Our premium quality toy haulers will maximize your adventure, no matter what type of toy you choose to haul.  ATV’s, jeeps, dune buggies, motorcycles, dirt bikes, and more – bring it on!  We promise we’ll step up to the plate, no matter how heavy the cargo or rugged the terrain.

We offer a t1 and t2 toy hauler package on both our ATC all-aluminum frame and our Motiv steel platform.  Plus, you can put the package on our motorcycle model for a smaller toy hauler, or our car hauler models for a bigger cargo area.  And best of all, if you want to add some extras, or tweak the floorplan to meet your specific needs – it’s no problem!  We at ATC and Motiv pride ourselves on the fact that we rarely build the same trailer twice.  Our top priority is to design your trailer EXACTLY how you want it, with the high quality you demand.

Our t1 toy hauler trailers offer a flat-front design, with toilet, shower, and kitchenette complete with refrigerator, cooktop, and microwate.  The compact design keeps your trailer easy to handle while maximizing your cargo space.  If you want to enlarge the living quarter area, the t2 toy hauler is the perfect choice.  This floorplan is based on a 4’ wedge nose design, with the bathroom up front for a bit more space.  The t2 package also adds a wardrobe and linen closet, optional TV package, and more counter space in the kitchenette.  Of course, with both toy hauler packages we offer unlimited options in both your living area and your garage.  So let ATC and Motiv toy hauler trailers help you escape and extend your adventure in the great outdoors…you owe it to yourself!

Race Car Trailers

Monday, September 27th, 2010

Well it’s that time of year again. Yes it is autumn. The time of football games both college and pro. Yes it the time that the leaves are such beautiful colors. It also means that Thanksgiving will be here soon. But for quite a few of you out there this time of year is bittersweet. You are the ones for which the race car season is over. No more victory laps. No more weekends of the smell of oil and tires. Just you and your car stored away for winter, and of course your race car trailer.

Why your race car trailer? Well I’m pretty sure that during the season it was your most neglected part of your race necessities. Therefore, now is the perfect time to take care of business. Need some refurbishing or even some major overhauls? We can help. We as in the Aluminum Trailer Company or www.aluminumtrailer.com. You see we build race car trailers, so we are especially suited to give your trailer the tender loving care that it needs. Stage Trailers

Friday, September 24th, 2010

Do you have a car worthy of being shown off at all times?  ATC and Motiv have designed two different types of trailers that are perfect for you!  Through the hard work of our engineering staff we have designed the perfect show trailer.  Our design allows you to use your trailer not only to haul your car but show it off and provide protection from the public.  Our first trailer option is a stage trailer which allows a portion of the side wall to flip down creating the perfect stage/display for your car once parked.  The second trailer option is lexan side walls and in the case below a laxan roof!  This design has achieved multiple goals, not only is it the perfect/constant marketing trailer, it also works to charge solar powered products while in transport.  Check out the pictures below for examples of customer’s goals and dreams being turned into reality.

Open Trailers

Tuesday, September 21st, 2010

For ATC, open trailers are a product that we have limited numbers of.  We have a 16’ open trailer only in aluminum.  We have an 18’ open trailer only in aluminum.  We have a 20’ open trailer only in aluminum.  These open trailers are designed to haul cars.  Our open trailers can be used for other things as well.  The fenders are removable on our open trailer so that a car can be parked and the doors open.   Open trailers in all shapes and sizes are pretty common and it seems as though everyone is building them.  Because we are good at working with aluminum, we have decided that open trailers are something that we can build and do a good job with in a narrow way.  Open trailers for cars are on the high end of the open trailer market but it doesn’t feel as though the rest of the market is a place for us.  Open trailers continue to be a niche for us.

Open Car Haulers

Friday, September 17th, 2010

Don’t need an enclosed car hauler?  An open car hauler may be your trailer of choice.

ATC builds open car haulers in lengths from 16’, 18’ and 20’.  ATC offers open car haulers with tandem 3500# axles and with tandem 5200# axles.  Standard features on an ATC open car hauler include: 4 recessed D rings in the floor, all aluminum construction, extruded floor decking, rear storing loading ramps, removable fenders, LED lights, and radial tires.

Open car haulers are lightweight, easy to pull, and very easy to maintain.  ATC has designed its open car hauler with an extruded deck and a full perimeter frame. Our open car hauler is designed strong enough to handle up to 6000 pounds of payload without the need for steel reinforcements.  This unique design allows ATC to build one of the lightest and strongest open car haulers in the industry. ATC’s perimeter frame open car hauler design differs from our competitors design in that our sub frames strength comes from our tube frame which runs all the way to the outside of our sub frame.  Not like most open car haulers that rely on a frame that includes outriggers as a key part of the structure.

Nearly ten years of quality open car haulers on the highway!  ATC is the open car hauler that you want behind your truck.

Buy an ATC open car hauler trailer today!  You will be glad you did.

Car Trailers

Thursday, September 16th, 2010

ATC builds the only all aluminum frame car trailer in the country.  Other manufactures add steel reinforcements on their race trailers.  Not ATC.  We build our car trailer with a perimeter tube frame, tube side walls on 16” centers, and a sturdy 1”x 3” tube roof structure also on 16” centers.  This type of construction is what allows ATC to build one of the strongest and lightest car trailers in the industry.

The options available on an ATC car trailer are almost endless.  You can purchase a trailer without any options.  Standard features include a spring assisted rear ramp door, 36” side door, and 4 d rings.  Drive in, strap your car down and you are ready to go.

The list of car trailer options is nearly endless.  Many ATC car trailers are built with a list options that totally deck out the trailer.  Finished aluminum walls, floor coverings, 12 volt and 110 volt electrical packages,  cabinets, and air conditioning and heat.  Cool looking and comfortable, car trailers are now design to deliver you and your car in style.

The next time you are at the track take a look in the pit.  You will be amazed at the variations in the car trailers.  From the most basic open car trailer that just gets the car from home to the track to the most elaborate trailer that includes a full blown living quarters.  Car trailers and options vary.  One thing that stays constant is ATC industry leading quality.

Check out an ATC car trailer today.  You will be glad you did!

Open Car Haulers

Tuesday, September 14th, 2010

What do we usually mean when we say something is open?  You know instead of closed, locked, not available just to name a few things that open is not. The reason I ask is that I work in an industry that like many other niche industries has many esoteric terms and descriptions for the things we make. If I say to you that ATC (www.aluminumtrailer.com) makes Open Car Haulers would that mean anything to you? You might think I was talking about availability meaning it’s available, it’s not yet sold, it’s open!

Well that’s all correct, but misses the main idea. In this case open means not covered. You know open to the weather. Not enclosed. Open for all the world to see. This then gets to our next point which is the car hauler part of open. We now know what open means and car hauler is a little easier to grasp. Therefore class an Open Car Hauler is a trailer that is built to haul or transport a car and the car is exposed or open.

Your next question has to be, why in the heck would I want to do that? First it is the most affordable  way to buy and own a car hauler trailer. It is basic transportation. Second it’s cool everyone gets to see your great car. As you are passing them on the highway they are looking and saying to themselves …. Wow I wish I had a cool car like that.

If you’d like to make that happen, give us a call and we’ll build one for you. Happy Trailering!

Standard or Custom Trailers?

Monday, September 13th, 2010

So this is the question of the year. Is The Aluminum Trailer Company (ATC) and Motiv trailers a standard trailer manufacturer or are we a custom trailer manufacturer? Internally it depends on which sales person you ask. I’m not really sure it matters that much. I want to be a company which sells a car hauler, motorcycle trailer, stacker, cargo trailer, specialty trailer, open trailer, etc that people want to buy! Of course its not as simple as that statement. If we are a custom shop that means we have longer lead times, we have a robust engineering staff, we dedicate a lot of resources to build engineered to order trailers. If we are a standard trailer shop, then we don’t need the heavy overhead structure, our production employees see a limited amount of different types trailers, which means they can get built faster at a more competitive price.

I don’t think we need to choose. We have decided as a company that are going to do both of these well. That is a huge commitment since there is so much difference in how these trailers are built. The journey will not be easy, but in the end it will be worth it. I say that because we will be able to provide you, the customer exactly what you need at exactly the price you think you should pay. We have structured our entire organization, from our sales force, to our production lines, to our back office support in order to solidify a foundation that allows us to be the kind of company that can accomplish this. There will no doubt be bumps in the road, but we think we can do it. Check out our product offerings at www.aluminumtrailer.com to see our vast array of products. Also feel free to contact a sales rep to ask more about our capabilities to build exactly the trailer that you are looking for.

Race Car Haulers

Friday, September 10th, 2010

Before I started working at The Aluminum Trailer Company six years ago, I couldn’t tell you the difference between one car hauler and another. I’m not even sure I could tell you what a car hauler was! What a difference six years makes. Not only have I gained an appreciation for the car hauler, I am convinced that ATC and Motiv trailers builds the best car haulers in the market today. This is especially true for the racing circuit. Our company has been around for a little over 10 years now. We have spent that time not only perfecting our aluminum framed trailers, but also listening to what our customers were asking of us. The result of this pursuit of the ultimate race car hauler is our Quest series (both gooseneck and tag) in ATC, our RSX series (both gooseneck and tag) in Motiv and our signature stacker series in both companies.

We feel that in terms of quality, fit and finish and value, our car haulers are the industry leaders. The great thing about ATC and Motiv trailers is no matter if you are looking for a unit you can pick up right off a dealers lot of you have exact specifications you need to meet, we can build your trailer. Our design, sales process is second to none. This allows us work with you to design exactly what you need. If you do not need a custom trailer and price is your biggest consideration, we have some options for you there as well in our standard product line. Visit us at www.aluminumtrailer.com to see what we have to offer. We know that you will be pleased if you chose to go with an ATC or Motiv car hauler.

Advantech Floor in ATC and Motiv Trailers

Monday, August 30th, 2010

Every once in a while we get customers asking us why we use Advantech floors in our trailers… Here’s the scoop.

There really is only one downside to Advantech and that is that customers sometimes initially think it is just cheap chipboard and we are cutting corners to save cost.  A simple look into Advantech proves otherwise.

The true facts are that Advantech was created by Huber Woods out Charlotte, North Carolina for the housing industry.  They created this board because housing contractors were complaining that the standard plywood sub floors on their houses were delaminating when it sat unprotected in the snow, sleet and rain.  Huber woods created Advantech to withstand the moisture that was destroying the plywood subfloors.  Advantech is a manufactured wood board but it is different than any other OSB on the market.  It is made with non-water soluble glue and it is compressed with 4 times the pressure than that of a normal OSB.  If you look at the board close up you will clearly see the difference between this board and any other OSB.

Advantech is used exclusively in our snowmobile trailers and it works better than any other product.  The snow comes and melts but it does not penetrate the board.  All you have to do is simply sweep the water out of the trailer.  Due to the density of the board it also does well holding up against the sharp snowmobile carbides.  With a plywood floor, you need to change the plywood every few years because the carbides tear the plywood to sheds.  With Advantech the carbides will scratch and mar the surface, but it will not penetrate the board.  We’ve seen many “well seasoned” snowmobile trailers come in with noting more than scratches on the floor… nothing like a plywood floor.

Another huge benefit Advantech provides is in on our wide body car haulers.  Advantech can be ordered in any width we want, whereas plywood can only be ordered in at 96″ wide.  On a 102″ wide body trailer that means that there has to be a silly 3” plywood seam the entire length of there trailer.  With Advantech we order our boards in at 99″ wide so it PERFECTLY fits into a wide body frame design.

Race Car Haulers

Friday, August 27th, 2010

We sure have grown up a fair bit since the first race car hauler we built and showed down in Daytona back in February of 2000.  I’ll be honest, that first ATC race car hauler trip to Daytona was a struggle.  Some of the top trim came off on my way down to Florida and my dad and I spent the better part of a day looking for it along the highway.  Somehow, by the grace of God, we found it!  We popped it back on and continued on the show.  To say we were a bit “green” in the race car hauler business would be quite an understatement.

I’m happy to say over the past 11 years we have done a lot of growing up and we have learned a tremendous amount from our customers and dealers.  We now find ourselves deep into the race car hauler business with an overflowing list of satisfied customers.  We thank all of you who helped us get here and have had a part in our success.

While we have learned a lot and enjoyed some success over the years, part of being a great company is never getting complacent.  I’m happy to say that we are continuing to grow and improve our race car haulers.  We invite you to see the new product launch at this years PRI (Performance Racing Industry) show in Orlando Florida.  We promise you will not be disappointed with the new look and features in our ATC and Motiv race car haulers.

Race Trailers

Tuesday, August 3rd, 2010

Over the last 20 year the race trailer market has changed dramatically.  Back in the early 1990’s most of the race trailers were rather basic and served one purpose.  That purpose was to get a race car from point a to point b.  When you compare today’s race trailer with the race trailer of the 90’s the changes have been amazing. Current race trailers still serve the basic transportation purpose.  However, the style in which it is done has changed by leaps and bounds.

Race trailers now have as many options in the as you can think of, not just the basics.  Today’s race trailers come with complete electrical packages and full cabinet packages.  The interior of many race trailers is as nicely equipped as many homes or offices.  The interior of race trailers include aluminum walls, vinyl floors, carpet and air conditioning.

Since race trailers often sit at the race track all weekend long many are now equipped with bath rooms or even full blown living quarters!  These packages include all the luxury of a fine hotel room.  You can have your T.V.; surround sound, gas grill, inside and outside shower, and even a washer and dryer.

Race trailers have come a long way over the last 20 years.  If you are in the market for a state of the art race trailer, check out ATC and Motiv.  We build the highest quality race trailers on the planet.

The Aluminum Trailer Company(ATC) is the premium manufacturer of enclosed cargo, specialty,  and auto trailers.  More and more trailer users are turning to ATC as our reputation for the highest quality continues to grow through out the trailer industry.

The Aluminum Trailer Company (ATC has been building trailers since 1999. ATC is located in Nappanee, Indiana, the heart of Amish country.  The company founders recognized the quality work force that was available in this area of northern Indiana and knew this was the place to build with unsurpassed quality.

ATC builds the only all aluminum frame trailer in the country.  Other manufactures add steel reinforcements on their race trailers.  Not ATC.  We build our trailer with a perimeter tube frame, tube side walls on 16” centers, and a sturdy 1”x 3” tube roof structure also on 16” centers.  This type of construction is what allows ATC to build one of the strongest and lightest trailers in the industry.

With ATC you can have it your way! We offer trailer sizes ranging from 5′ wide x 8′ long all the way up to 8.5′ wide x 53′ in length. No matter what your need may be, we can build a trailer that’s perfect for the job. You can customize any trailer to your personal taste thanks to thousands of options and custom options department.  ATC offers an amazing list of options for you to add to your trailer and over 13 different exterior colors

ATC offers a wide variety of trailers.  Our product line up includes open car haulers, motorcycle trailers, cargo trailers, enclosed car haulers, gooseneck car haulers, stackers, and specially designed commercial trailers.  We offer a vast array of options on trailers.

Owning the best costs little more than the other brands. Value is not just the purchase price, but rather what your trailer will cost you to own and operate over the long haul. The superior construction, attention-to-detail, expert and prompt customer service, and a higher resale price at trade-in time all equals more value for your dollar.

Check out ATC today.  You will be glad you did!

Race Trailers

Tuesday, July 20th, 2010

Over the last 20 year the race trailer market has changed dramatically.  Back in the early 1990’s most of the race trailers were rather basic and served one purpose.  That purpose was to get a race car from point a to point b.  When you compare today’s race trailer with the race trailer of the 90’s the changes have been amazing. Current race trailers still serve a basic purpose, getting a race car from point a to point b.  However, the style in which it is done has changed by leaps and bounds.

Race trailers now have as many options in the as you can think of, not just the basics.  Todays race trailers come with complete electrical packages and full cabinet packages.

Race Car Haulers

Wednesday, July 14th, 2010

Sometimes our prospective new dealers ask us about the best ways to sell our aluminum race car haulers.  We have found out that just throwing a billboard up at the local race track or taking out a shiny new ad in next weeks motorsports periodical just may not be the best way to reach our customer.  The best way to get race car hauler sales for Motiv or ATC Trailers is to take our trailers out to the track and show people.

Yeah magazine ads looks good and billboards catch a lot of eyes, but what helps ATC / Motiv Trailers win is showing customers face-to-face why our trailers are better.   Our fit-and-finish is second to none, our full perimeter tube frame cannot be beat, and how about a true and fair warranty that we actually pay in less than 30 days (try getting that from the other guys out there).

ATC and Motiv Race car haulers aren’t just better, we are competitively priced too.  I’m not going to say that our price isn’t important, but no where in our sales pitch is price our primary selling point.  Our race car haulers sell because they are the best ones out there… any yes we are competitively priced.

Go to our dealer locater or check us out at the track next weekend and you’ll see why seeing is believing!

Enclosed Trailers

Friday, July 2nd, 2010

You could have had an enclosed trailer.  My guess is that many people think they can’t afford an enclosed trailer but have they considered all of the advantages?  First of all what did you spend on the equipment or toys you are transporting.  An enclosed trailer will keep them safe and secure.  Also an enclosed trailer will help keep your investments out of the public eye, I am sure you have heard the saying out of sight out of mind.  With an enclosed trailer you also create mobile storage for your toys. You also now have a mobile garage to work on your toys when you get to your destination.  Motiv and ATC have launched an all new line of inexpensive enclosed trailers called the ravin light series.  You might be surprised how inexpensive it can be to get a quality built enclosed trailer.  Check out our enclosed trailers on our website at www.aluminumtrailer.com

Enclosed Trailers

Wednesday, June 16th, 2010

Do you know what the difference is between inclose or enclose?   Or the variants of those inclosed or enclosed?   Well as it turns out there isn’t any difference they both mean the same thing. However the preferred spelling or usage just happens to be “enclosed”.   Now that may not mean much to most people but I just happen to be in the business of making enclosed trailers, and since we advertise we really do try to get things like spelling and grammatical nuances correct.  I don’t know how much longer that will actually be important in the age of texting and twitter it seems that you can just make things up as you go along.

Let’s get back to that enclosed trailers thing for a moment.  Of course you were wondering what that means?   Well weren’t you?   An enclosure structurally is like a fence around property or more specifically like a porch on your house, but now you put glass around it.   Voila! You now have an enclosed room that used to be an open to the weather porch.  That may not mean much to some people, but try reading the Sunday morning paper on your porch in Indiana in January.  You would immediately understand why enclosing it with glass makes a lot of sense.   If I built enclosed porches, I would continue down this path but I don’t so I won’t.

I make enclosed trailers (www.aluminumtrailer.com) and I was just trying to get my point across in a way most people would understand.  You can buy many types of trailers and many of them are open like your front porch, and they work very well for some things, but if you want things dry and not exposed to the elements of the weather you need an enclosed trailer.  What kind of enclosed trailer? Well I could tell you now but that would spoil my fun.  LOL (that’s one of those texting things I was talking about).  Maybe next time we can talk about the different kinds of enclosed trailers, until then Happy Trailering!

Race Trailer

Friday, May 21st, 2010

If you are in the market for a race trailer, congratulations, you have come to the right place.  ATC and Motiv have become know as market leaders in the race trailer business.  So you might ask, what really makes ATC and Motiv different from the countless other brands out there?  And the answer to that is “Everything”

No where in our sales pitch will you ever hear us taut that we are cheaper than the other guy.  We’re simply not the cheapest race trailer in the business, nor do we want to be.  If you’re looking for cheapest price you need to get yourself down to South Georgia and go shopping.  If you are looking for value and quality of ownership, that’s were ATC and Motiv come in.

We build our aluminum and steel race trailers on a full perimeter tube frame which provides commercial grade quality.  Our workmanship is second to none.  And let’s talk about warranty too.  We don’t have near the warranty issues as our competitors, due to our forward thinking engineering process, but once in a while we do make mistakes.  Not only do we pay our warranty claims, (which now days is becoming a rarity) but we offer industry-leading customer service though the process.  Try getting that out of South Georgia!

Remember that thing your dad told you when you were younger about the fact that you always get what you pay for…  Well that has never been truer.  At ATC and Motiv our prices are competitive and our product shines above the rest.  Please allow us to show you why ATC and Motiv have risen to the top of the race trailer market.

Race Trailers

Wednesday, May 19th, 2010

Wow, this was my first time at Limrock for a Porsche Club event with the fine folks from the CVR (Connecticut Valley Region).  I was able to sit back and catch up with many of our ATC customers and enjoy the sights and sounds of the Porsches screaming around the track.  And let me tell you, with the mufflers off, there really aren’t words to explain the sense of excitement that comes from hearing the Porsches let out a banshee-wail as they come out of the final corner heading onto the straight away.

Driving around the paddock was rewarding as I was able to catch up and thank many of our ATC and Motiv customers for choosing our trailers.  Let’s be honest Porsche guys are performance oriented folks that recognize quality and precision craftsmanship.  That is why it meant so much to me to see out trailers so well represented at this event.  I was proud that of the oodles and oodles of trailers out there, ATC and Motiv appeared to be the most represented brand.  I guess a lot of our hard work back at the factory is paying off.

And if I didn’t mention one of my favorite parts of attending Limerock, I just wouldn’t be doing this story justice.  Being handed the keys to my choice of Porsche and taking test laps was out-of-this-world exciting.  While I am still pretty green at racing, it was exhilarating to say the least, to be sitting behind the wheel of such and incredible race machine taking laps.  Thanks to Chip and all the other kind folks at Danbury Porsche for your hospitality.

To all the CVR members, thanks for your continued support of ATC and Motiv Trailers and keep the petal to the metal!  We’ll see you again next year at Limerock!

Enclosed Trailers

Monday, April 26th, 2010

What kind of enclosed trailer are you in the market for?  We make just about any and every style of enclosed trailer.  At ATC and Motiv, our product offering ranges from the little 5’ x 8’ enclosed cargo trailer all the way up to the 53’ transporter.  One of the key benefits in working with ATC and Motiv on your enclosed trailer is that we offer steel frame or aluminum frame trailers.  Our enclosed trailer models are diverse enough to allow us to manufacture EXACTLY what suits your specific need.

If you are looking for the $250,000 custom communication trailer, we can build the entire project in house.  However if you find your need a bit more simplified, we also build the price competitive cargo trailers for the occasional weekend user.  The advantage of ATC and Motiv is that no matter what level of enclosed trailer you are looking for, you can rest assured that ATC and Motiv provides exceptional quality and value in each trailer we build.  Yeah, other people build enclosed trailers, we just do it better!

Cargo Trailers and Enclosed Trailers

Friday, April 16th, 2010

When it comes to enclosed trailers we at ATC can build just about anything.  From the $1500 cargo trailer up to the $200,000 command center.  Everything in between those two items we have the ability to build.  Last spring we noticed that we have the capacity to build more trailers than we were building so we introduced our raven lite line of cargo trailers.  We have always excelled in building larger enclosed trailers that require more engineering capabilities.  Enclosed trailers in this category are much different than building simple cargo trailers.   We have a special kind of workforce that has the capability finish out the enclosed trailers in a special way.  Customers that buy larger and more expensive enclosed trailers have higher standards and higher expectations about what the product needs to do and look like.  Many enclosed trailers, unlike cargo trailers, have to be approached with a project mentality rather than a trailer that’s going to run down the line in a day or so.  These enclosed trailers test the limits of most manufacturers and typically end with an unsatisfied customer and dealer.  Cargo trailers have customers and needs that are much easier to meet expectations.  We have been constantly challenged by unique enclosed trailer needs and are able to meet or exceed our customer’s expectations.  As we have developed our line of lower cost cargo trailers, we have been surprised by the number of customers that are willing to pay a bit more for a nicer product.  Our cargo trailer line has been especially popular with people that want a low cost trailer that has a lighter weight aluminum frame.  Our cargo trailers are available with a low cost aluminum upgrade that has been very popular, especially with our Canadian customers.  We can offer cargo trailer dealers the ability to sell a large custom product to a large or demanding enclosed trailer application.    We are quickly becoming a recognized name in a very crowded enclosed trailer market.
