Thursday, March 25th, 2010Command Center Trailers
Friday, March 19th, 2010If you are looking for a command center trailer, you have come to the right place. Honestly, there really aren’t many trailer manufacturers out there that can handle this caliber of trailer project. ATC and Motiv offer the quality, fit and finish and engineering expertise that is required for this type of project. Our engineering team will fully design your custom command center trailer on our 3-D CAD software and share prints with you prior to constructing your command center trailer. By investing this amount of time and effort into your project we are able to make sure we are building exactly the trailer that suits for your application. We will not begin construction on your command center trailer until we have your full approval to move forward into production.
Another huge benefit of working with ATC and Motiv trailers is that nearly 100% of the project will be completed by our team members all under one roof. The idea of having a trailer company build a trailer then ship it across the country and have another company outfit the trailer with the necessary cabinets and electronics is far from ideal. Because we have such great experience in command center trailers, we have recognized that the best way to exceed the needs of our customers is to do all the work right here in our facility.
Call and talk to one of our sales specialist here at ATC and Motiv Trailers and we’ll be happy to help you on your next command center trailer.

Custom Trailers
Monday, March 15th, 2010Custom trailers have always been a special part of our business here at ATC. We have a workforce that is very quality minded and have a craftsmen approach to building trailers. We haven’t always been as cost conscious as we could have been but our main goal of building custom trailers is that we meet the customers’ expectations. When building custom trailers it can sometimes be difficult to give the customer exactly what he/she wants. That’s why we offer 3D prints for all of our custom trailers. This helps the customer picture what they are getting before its built. Each custom trailer has an easy to read order form and corresponding prints. Many of our competitors have decided not to build highly custom trailers anymore. They have decided that it is too difficult and too costly to maintain the engineering staff as well as the workforce that will be able to provide the fit and finish that a demanding customer requires. Our custom trailer line is going to be continually improving our response time as well as our communication with customers. Custom trailers are the most demanding type of trailers to build and we have done a good job of providing them to our dealer base.

Mobile Lab
Tuesday, March 9th, 2010Mobile labs have become a way of business. ATC recently completed this mobile lab that served three functions in one trailer. At the rear it was processing area for animals. This area in the mobile lab was also set up to transitioned into a storage area for equipment in transit.
The 2nd section in the mobile lab was the refrigerated lab area.
The third was just a bunk area so the technicians could catch some shut eye between jobs. ATC will help you design and build your mobile lab from the ground up. Please check out the custom area on web site to get some more ideas.

Some common features in our mobile command centers include individual work stations, galley, lavatory, and conference room for on-site strategic meetings. Race Trailers
Wednesday, March 3rd, 2010It’s certainly not everyday that work is as interesting as it was when I spent the weekend a couple of years ago at Elkhart Lake Wisconsin. You see my job on the operations and production side of the business usually means staying at the plant. Don’t’ misunderstand me! I really enjoy building trailers (cargo trailers, specialty trailers, and race trailers) of all types and sizes. My job is very challenging and most of the time quite rewarding. However, there is a very detached and remote aspect of building something but then never seeing it actually being used.
The process of designing, engineering, and building specialized and very personal race trailers for customers really hit home when I actually saw them in use. The event was an SCCA (Sports Car Club of America) weekend of races. It ran from Friday to Sunday with nine distinct race divisions. There were race cars of every shape, size, age, and class. They ranged from open wheeled race cars (formerly used on the professional circuit) to cars with only factory installed equipment. Of course the only way to get those cars to the track was with a race trailer.
That’s where I come in. Did I mention that I build trailers for a living, in this case race trailers! There will well over 300 trailers at the event from at least 30 different manufacturers. Well of course everyone there is watching the race, but I’m going around looking at all the race trailers. They were as different and as varied as the race cars themselves. Some were simple (a box on wheels), while others were incredibly detailed and complex. They all served a purpose and from talking to the owners they were as proud of their trailers as they were of their cars.
Yes. I did eventually get around to watching a few of the races and that was fun, but certainly not as much fun if I could have been driving in the race. If you are interested in some really cool race trailers check out www.aluminumtailer.com
By the way that’s where I work, and as I said one of these days I really need to get away from the plant. Maybe I could build a trailer for you, then you could let me wreck ‘er I mean race your car.
Command Center
Tuesday, March 2nd, 2010Over the years we have done our fair share of command center trailers. Command center trailers can be used for many different things. We have customers that have used command centers for training purposes as well as safety training for staff of fire and police departments. We are currently doing one of our largest and most expensive command centers to date. This particular command center is for the Louisiana Parish Sherriff’s office. During certain times of the year it will no doubt be tested in use. Our command centers come completely finished from major power generators to full communication capabilities. We do it all. We can even install specially supplied parts for a command center that is requested by a customer. We have the experience and the engineering department to supply full 3D prints and make sure that your command center gets to you exactly the way that you specify.
Custom trailers
Monday, March 1st, 2010The word “custom trailer” sometimes scares people off because they feel that when you get the convenience of a custom design, inherently an astronomical fee must be associated in there somewhere. In out vocabulary a custom trailer does not necessarily have to be expensive. The only thing that often constitutes a custom trailer is what options you want and where you want those options located.
At ATC and Motiv trailers, we have built thousands of custom trailers that are 100% to the specifications of the end user, but didn’t take a stitch more time to manufacture. We have developed a flexible manufacturing process that allows us to make each and every trailer unique while still running an efficient production line.
One thing we have realized in the trailer business is that each and every trailer owner may want something a little bit different in his or her trailer. By creating a production process that is able to handle custom trailers we have been able to deliver exactly what the retail customer wants at a very competitive price.
